This is the first joint meeting of the UK Woodfuel Suppliers
Group (WSG) and the Scottish regional Woodfuel Forums. The
meeting has been called to promote and develop the WSG in Scotland,
and to highlight the complementary roles of the WSG and the network
of Woodfuel Forums in supporting the woodfuel sector in
Scotland. Members of regional Woodfuel Forums will
have the chance to come together to hear about and discuss
nationally important issues.
The role and remit of the Woodfuel Suppliers Group will be
highlighted and also present nationally relevant issues for
discussion.
These include:
- woodfuel accreditation and standards,
- incentives for woodland management,
- national woodfuel supply and demand and
- procurement frameworks
