The Forestry Commission is holding a seminar to present the
findings of its latest research on the best use of biomass and wood
fibre.
In support of the Renewable Obligation
(Scotland) consultation, Forestry Commission Scotland and the
Scottish Government commissioned Forest Research and North Energy
Associates to undertake two pieces of research.
The research considers two main
questions: What is the best use of biomass & wood fibre in
carbon terms and whether there should be thresholds for small scale
electricity generation.
