Aspen often occurs with other broadleaves, especially birch, and
occasionally with conifers. This workshop will consider the value
of managing these mixed stands to deliver a range of environmental
and economic gains.
The morning indoor session and
afternoon field visit will be facilitated by John Parrott and Simon
Lockwood (Scottish Native Woods), Colin Edwards (Forest Research),
Amanda Calvert (Highland Birchwoods) and Matthew O'Brien (Highland
Forestry).
