Wood fuel standards and accreditation

Feeding wood chip by hand

Standards allow consumers to buy woodfuel with confidence. Much the same as a car, wood fuel systems need to be fed with the fuel they were designed for. So, it is vitally important that suppliers measure and describe the properties of their wood fuel in a clear and consistent way. The availability of acceptable quality woodfuel is critical to increasing its uptake as a mainstream source of renewable energy.
