Foundation Scotland is an excellent resource for sources of
funding that are available to support commuity based projects.
There are various schemes available some of which are summarised
below.
Community benefit fund:funds from wind farm
developments from across Scotland providing grants to support
activities that enhance quality of life for local residents and
contribute to successful and sustainable communities.
Start & Grow: offers investment packages of
between £10,000 and £60,000 to enable social enterprises and
community organisations to start-up, develop and expand. All Start
& Grow investments are made up of one third grant and two
thirds loan.
Making Enterprise Happen: will make investments
of between £60,000 and £500,000. Each will be in the form of a
mixed grant and loan package, with a minimum of 50% to be repaid
with negotiable terms.
Resilient Scotland works in 13 local
authority areas: Clackmannanshire, Dundee City, East
Ayrshire, City of Edinburgh, Fife, Glasgow City, Inverclyde, North
Lanarkshire, North Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire, West
Dunbartonshire, West Lothian
