This conference was aimed at businesses in the woodfuel and forestry sectors that are interested in finding out more about the advantages of cooperative working, what cooperative working actually means in practice, and most importantly, how to do it.

Forestry Commission Scotland, The Cairngorms National Park Authority and The Crown Estate held a one-day workshop to provide advice, discussion and practical demonstrations on managing small woodlands for timber and woodfuel production.

18 June 2013 - Perth Concert Hall
The event presented an opportunity to hear from government, industry and other key stakeholders and to discuss the next steps and challenges we face. The event included a focus on district heating and heat mapping, an update on Forth Ports proposals, a focus on the Scotch Whisky Industry's environmental strategy and update on Tullis Russell, Markinch's, biomass combined heat and power plant.

This seminar investigated the best use of wood fibre and highlighted options for the appropriate application of timber in construction and the woodfuel sector. It provided an opportunity for architects to gain a greater understanding of the potential to utilise woodfuel heating systems in low carbon building design.
