Woodfuel Meets the Challenge

Renewable fuel is at the heart of government policy; Scottish Government targets require 11% of heat to be sourced from renewable resources by 2020.  Woodfuel has the potential to provide a major component of the UK's renewable energy commitment.

Woodfuel can provide heat and power - on demand and modern woodfuel technology is efficient and clean. Woodfuel can deliver carbon savings of over 90% compared to fossil fuels and can be cheaper than other fuels.

Woodfuel heating systems can attract UK Government Renewable Heat Incentive subsidies, subject to certain eligibility criteria being met.
