Organised on behalf of Forestry Commission Scotland's Regional Biomass Advice Network. A one-day workshop that covered woodfuel production from small woodlands in the Scottish Borders:

Biomass for Businesses
16th December 2008, Ballater, Aberdeenshire.
Presentations on woodfuel technology by installers and suppliers: an opportunity for information exchange.
Forestry Commission Scotland, in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council and Scottish Enterprise, hosted a Biomass for Business event in Ballater on the 16th of December 2008.
Claire Standen, the Forestry Commission's Deeside Biomass Project Officer was very pleased with the turnout for the event.
"The event was very well attended by representatives of local businesses. Interest in using woodfuel for domestic and business heating continues to grow, as demonstrated here by the largest audience yet at one of our Biomass for Business seminars."

This event was aimed at architects, building consultants and specifiers; public and private house builders; local authorities and councillors; farm and estate owners/managers; manufacturing industries; hoteliers and tourism businesses; building services contractors. The contents of the event would be of interest to any organisation wanting locally sourced, low cost green energy.
