Introduction

The Argyll Woodfuel Forum was established in May 2012 with an inaugural meeting at Portavadie Marina and the Wood Chip Shop at Argyll Forest Products.

Aims

The forum aims to facilitate the growth of the woodfuel sector in Argyll by providing opportunities for networking, exchange of information and site visits.

Meetings

We are aiming for two main meetings each year and possibly some smaller, more subject specific meetings in between.

This meeting focussed on woodfuel and timber supply, with  a wide range of speakers and an opportunity to visit the  biomass boiler at Strachur Hall, and the Our Power Woodchipping plant, Cairndow.

21st November 2012,
Scottish Association for Marine Science, near Oban.

May 2012 Portavadie
Inaugural meeting of the Argyll Woodfuel Forum

A valuable opportunity to network with wood fuel users and suppliers. You'll get a wealth of local information about the sector. They are open to all and are free.

Whether you're new to woodfuel or a veteran, you can share ideas and discuss issues. They also aim to develop a collective voice for the sector, and encourage members to work together to improve all stages of the wood fuel process, from supply to installation.
