Further reading:

Forest Research, Forestry Commission have published a series of guides on woodfuel and on timber harvesting and transport methods, and equipment. Publications include a guide to the vimek mini-forwarder demonstrated at recent regional events, the alstor mini-forwarder and a guide to small scale systems for harvesting woodfuel. These publications would be of benefit to those wishing to read more about the topics discussed at the recent Wodfuel Forum event.
Also of interest is this informal review of machinery options for small scale woodland management on show at last years APF Forestry exhibition.
