The Scottish Government's district heating loan fund
provides loans for both low carbon and renewable technologies to
help organisations implement district heating projects to benefit
local communities.
Low interest loans of up to £400,000 per project (interest rate
of 3.5% for lower risk projects) will be made available to be
repaid over a period of up to 10 years. The scheme is open to local
authorities, registered social landlords, small and medium sized
enterprises and energy services companies (ESCOs), with less than
250 employees.
The loan fund is open for expressions of interest, see the
Energy Saving Trust website.
